Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
This represents his "actual" track record from what?...
His Action Alerts Plus port? Some random port designed by someone else based on some of his reccommendations on the radio or tv show? |

Does anyone have a better (or even alternate) track record data source?

The only place you are going to get a true record, which includes both buy and sell recommendations in real time is thru Action Alerts Plus!

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
The only facts are is Kramer is a liar and showman. Confessions of a Street Addict his (first?) book is an interesting read. His hedge fund did well but alot of its gains were from having connections on the streeet and mostly very short term trading. So i don't think he is as qualified of a stock picker as people think.

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
If you truly understand Cramer's philosophy, then his comments are useful to any "trader" looking for stocks to add to a watch list... certainly much more useful than following upgrades/downgrades by investment analysts.
p.s... Cramer is bullish on the DOW for 2006. |

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
Certainly Cramer's trade advice is superior to that of brokerage firms.
My main observation about Cramer is that he fills a fundamental need of the crowd-- the need to be led. |

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
Yes, he fills a need... which is why he has TV and radio shows!
However, we here at 2+2 are more knowledgable then the general public at large... and know that you should never blindly follow someone else's advice, without frst doing your own due diligence! Use Cramer as a resource toward further research... don't "blindly" follow what you think Cramer is saying on TV, and Hope! One of the biggest problems with following an "opinion" is that you are likely to never know (or learn too late) when that opinion changes. |

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
Cramer comments basically are pretty obvious to anyone who wathces the market. Some company reports great earnings he says how great they are. He loves stocks that are going up. I think he is just good at telling people what they want to hear. Alot more people on wall street know alot more than him, but he has a strong personality and is a good self promoter
