Top 2 Pair, Unraised Pot - 5-10
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Live Game - 5-10 Reads - I've been at the table for about an hour. Villain is older, Asian, and seems like he came to gamble. He's in almost every pot, and does not seem to be able to lay down a draw (called an all-in for around 1k into a 1500 pot with 1 card to come with the A flush draw on a paired board.) However, other hands I've seen him table have been good. It's possible that he is just running hot and picking up hands - basically, my read is weak. Me - 1800. Villain - covers the table. Hero is BB with K 6. 3 limpers call, villain in CO calls, small blind calls, I check. Flop (60) - K 6 2 - SB checks, Hero bets 60, limpers fold, Villain calls, SB folds. Turn (180) - 4 - Hero bets 180, Villain raises to 900. Hero? |

Villian has 64/44/66/22 and if he's bad probably AA/AK. Given this range and no real read I fold here.

My image is probably fairly passive at this point. I haven't been at the table long and haven't really been involved in many big hands.
More to the point is the fact that I doubt villain has any image of me at all. To him, I think all players are basically the same. |

Re: Top 2 Pair, Unraised Pot - 5-10
Why can't this villain have K2 or K4???
EDIT: or even 35s or 24s? |

Re: Top 2 Pair, Unraised Pot - 5-10
Two main facts:
1) Stuck it in with 1 card to come with ace high flush draw on paired bored. 2)He is Asian Stick this in...66..22..and 35 are the only hands i believe your losing to here and the read you seem to have justifies the all in. I would expect a fold by him a surisingly high amount of the time. Going bust in limped pots without the nuts is horrible but it seems the table and player justify the position....even though I have a feeling your going to say he stacked you off. Later |

I have some problems with your thinking.
[ QUOTE ] I would expect a fold by him a surisingly high amount of the time. [/ QUOTE ] My push would leave him to call around $550 in a $2500+ pot. If I push, he's calling with anything. [ QUOTE ] Going bust in limped pots without the nuts is horrible but it seems the table and player justify the position. [/ QUOTE ] I don't subscribe to this thinking. In my mind, the pot being unraised is just another variable to add into the equation. |

Re: Top 2 Pair, Unraised Pot - 5-10
Obiviously you do not play with rambling asians very much(jk). I was expressing the fact he might be trying to bluff a tight player and if he is stone cold bluffing he will fold. I did not say I thought he would fold, I just mean he might fold 20% of the time which is suprisingly high considering the massive pot odds.
He will beat you in the pot most likely with any two pair...and will conveniently call with a pair and a straight draw mainly bc people like him enjoy sticking themselves in order to win a big pot the hard way. He will have you beat sometimes in this spot (35...22...66) but it seems by your rational you have the best hand. To the second disagreement...your hand is nowhere near the nuts and you need a strong read on your opponent to justify sticking your stack in because the hand range of your opponent obviously opens up to anything when you play a loose player in a limped pot. Re: Top 2 Pair, Unraised Pot - 5-10
Against this villain I need to know the soooooooots.....if the turn brought a flush draw, especially of a suit other than the K on the board, that changes things big time.
