Default KQo, how did I play this?

Hopefully I played this one a bit better.
No reads. Is this pretty standard?

raise pre-flop. The whole hand plays different from there.

Hmm, does everyone raise QKo in early position?

Against an unknown this is a pretty standard line I think. You need reads if want to maximize your EV.

edit: Raise preflop. You only want to be calling KQo EP when the average person at the table limps giving you an idea of the tightness of the table.

Can you explain this a bit more clearly please? Do you just mean call when the table is tight?

I discovered tonight that I should be raising both KQs and KQo from EP. Good job I posted these

Edit: Assuming I raised pre-flop, the SB 3-bet and then bet out on the flop. What'd my play be then?

I meant to say that if the consensus at the table is that everyone plays tight, which is almost never the case at the micros then limping would be okay since most TAA behind the limper respect even a limp from EP. Is this logic flawed? Basically, you'll never have to worry about it because you'll be wanting to limit the field, and raising for value with KQo.

Edit reply: Call the 3-bet. However, if it's two bets back to you tighten up as if it was 2 bets to you cold preflop.

Depends on the table. At the micros with lots of weak tighties and loose passives...yep, every time.

Raise preflop and fold the turn. You have 5 outs to improve but you probably have to discount those outs a lot since villain will have you drawing dead or to 2 outs very often. Unless villain is a maniac his HD is probably something like AT+, 99, QQ, AA and of those hands the ones that have you drawing dead or to 2 outs are more likely.
