Default leaving money on the table that i now need to buy a skirt

SB seems like the typical sub par player, a little too loose, calls a little too much, bla bla. Nothing interesting statistically (only about 50 hands). I don't feel too good about how I played this hand (especially on 4th and 5th street). I was ready to value bet the river when he just fired into me for a pathetic amount. I couldn't tell if it was a block or an attempt to get raised. Given how much his line looks like a flush draw in retrospect, I decided to just call. Thoughts?

That's just weird, but I probably raise. Easy to say that here in the forum, at the table I might actually put on a dress as well.

If he has a flush, he's certainly going to bet more than $20 at the river. What is that about a 1/6th pot bet?

Seeing as how you bet you the turn, you must bet the river, most players at this level check the turn on a flush draw.

Because of that I think your flush is well disguised, and he'll pay you off with two pair, or maybe even top pair here.

I'm raising atleast $50 here on the river.

How's that skirt fit you? :-)

i'd raise to at least 100.. i definitely see this as a blocking bet more often than not. I rarely see players make small bets with the hope of getting raised.

i've seen fake blocking bets before at this level. that does not defer me from raising here. you'd be amazed at how often the opponent will block/call a half pot bet. Make it 90 to go. if he pushes, meh, i dont think I get away from it.

I think SB wants to see his two pair cheaply. Gotta raise it as everyone else mentioned.

Your description sounds like he is kind of a calling station, so why bet the turn?

And once you bet the turn, I guess there is even more need to raise the river.

Wow. This is wildfire in the nl400, when you see a bad player bet small there's a HUGE chance he wants to be raised, especially if you've ever pushed him around, ever.

SB obviously rolls over KQ and berates me heavily. I think I really need to work on value more. Here I just felt like his line seemed like such a flush draw donkey line that if I raised and got 3 bet I'd just puke, because what bet/3bets there besides a flush. I've definitely seen the fake block bet before and my gut just told me that this was exactly what he was doing. Oh well, thanks for the replies.
