50NL: AQs 3 Way Postflop
UTG is a donk and the reason I'm at the table. He was running 51/6/1 and was capable of making a bluff if shown weakness. BB I didn't have much of a read except for stats. He was 27/21/1.5 over about 80 hands.
Anyone play this differently? this looks fine. 78 got there on the turn. IDK sometimes I bet the turn if I'm willing to stack off, I could see BB having QJ and fish having A6.

[ QUOTE ]
I bet call this turn all day [/ QUOTE ] The reason I didn't bet the turn was twofold. 1) I didn't have any history with BB other than the stats so I hated a c/r from him. I also thought it would be possible for him to fold a Q weak kicker if I bet the turn. 2) UTG could have ATC so I wasn't worried about him plus I had a previous hand against him where he bluffed the river after the turn was checked thru. The river is a very easy call and I was hoping it would induce a call from a wider range of hands from BB. Looking back, perhaps betting the turn is better to get 3 streets of value from a semi strong holding such as KQ from the BB. |

the more I think about this hand the more I like raising the river - I think you get called by a ton of hands you beat, aka, any queen and smaller pp's as well.

Re: 50NL: AQs 3 Way Postflop
The more I think about it the more I like betting out on the turn. I've been in this same position recently and have thought about it quite a bit. AQ TPTK has to be worth 2 barrels 3way, and a free river card is more likely to improve villans hands in general ( 2 of them / 1 of you).
A C/R turn would suck here but we're prepared to bleed 1/2pot on the river anyway. The only counter to this arguement is that, like you said, a worse Q may give you more value assuming your flop bet was only a cbet. I don't know if KQ folds here anyway though. I like turn bet. ... I don't think river raise is good with TPTK. More likely fold worse hands and pay off better ones imo. |

Re: 50NL: AQs 3 Way Postflop
I think I've been swayed into the "bet the turn" camp. It's not like I'm going to check behind with AA or KK in this spot vs. these opponents so there is no reason to check behind w/ TPTK considering there is not much difference in relative hand strength.
