Early stages and busting
Okay i see alot of good players bust early very few times. Is there a specific key too this? I mean some of the early busting are from me playing earlier as a big fish obv but still maybee a lil high. I often get myself allin with big pairs like AA and KK and AK on a K 2 J board etc...
I multitabling SNGs and i dont have time too consider a big analyze of the play, and thats why i almost just play premium, cause when i hit i can get my money in the mittle without consern. When i multitable i prob bust out first or sec 1 or maybee even 2 times during a set of SNGs (15tables) And in later stages do ya sometimes fold an +EV situasion just too try too get ITM? Is it nessasary(?) to do all +EV moves? These qestion prob sound pretty stupid or obv or whatever for some ppl, but for me this is serious. I just want too find the best way too play and make the most $$ I am alittle new too these 1 table SNG (maybee played 1600 of them) Magnus1092 |

Re: Early stages and busting
It sounds like you need to read up on ICM a little bit, tried the SNGPT tutorial?

Re: Early stages and busting
I am happy to get all my money in pre flop with AA or KK if the betting keeps getting raised. However, if you end up post flop with these, whilst I will still bet I want things kept smaller. After all it is just a pair with no improvement. I am not clear how you are losing so much with these but perhaps your post rather than pre flop play is questionable.
In latter stages I am not taking every +EV situation. ITM is my primary concern. It will all be situation dependent so no blanket rules. Just post some troublesome hands for help. |

I may raised it a lil low preflop, 210 whould be better and i normaly do. With 210 is it reasonable too fold after getting 210 of your stack in it? I had a bad feeling but still its a 6+0.5, can I fold? But as i think i seen too be remembering that maybee one year ago i had alot of early finishing. I actually think early stages was the spot i finished most:P Yes huge fish with a sexy -44% roi over the first 4-500. So too get a realy good picture weither im playing kinda bad or not im not getting here... I will start making a dot on a piece of paper everytime i finish 9th or 8th in the future 500 SNGs or so... |

I multitabling SNGs and i dont have time too consider a big analyze of the play [/ QUOTE ] good luck getting better. The KK hand you posted, if it was posted on it's own I'd send it to BBV for them to berate you. Should you pass on +EV spots? Probably not. You can pass on very small edges if you think you have a good edge on the table. But otherwise, you should be taking almost all +EV situations. This post is just to general, you're basically asking how do I get better? Post some specific hands (that do not include getting KK aipf). |
