Default Party eating cpu

All of a sudden PartyGaming.exe is hogging my cpu like crazy, even before I open any tables. The process idles above 60%. I've tried re-installing the software but to no avail.

No driver problems, Windows XP is up to date, so is AVG and ZA.

Suggestions?

Same here. I found that every 5 minutes or so party would hog all the cpu for a few seconds. Eventually I did a complete reinstall of windows and software, and seems vastly improved.

Why that is the case I have no idea. It might be that I have got rid of a lot of other crap off the system, so when party hogs extra cpu my system can now cope.

seriously guys, stop making posts about this. theres really nothing we can do about it. i would suggest getting a good dual core cpu then you will have less problems.

i dont expect anything to change in the near future
