Do you give value to maniac min-raiser?
Full Tilt Poker, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter Villan at time was 56/53/3. His min-raise pf was standard for him. Frequently called flop continuation bets only to give up on turn. Re: Do you give value to maniac min-raiser?
you could stand to bet slightly more on the flop on this board, for mainly the reasons stated. Also, betting more on the turn is good too, your bet sizing is small on both streets. Against this villain, you should be betting the turn and pretty happy to get it in. he CAN have better hands, but he also can have plenty of worse hands, and we still have equity if we are beat.

Re: Do you give value to maniac min-raiser?
I think I would raise another BB or 2 preflop.
Flop bet should be closer to pot size. $2.50-2.75 I am getting all the money in on the turn. If you are behind (which I doubt) you have 10 outs on the river for a boat. A Flush is possible. I don't see villian calling the flop bet with JT (unless JcTc) but you never know. The only real hand I am worried about it a flush, but like I said, you have a redraw on the river if beat. |

Re: Do you give value to maniac min-raiser?
I bet $2 at least on the flop, as played I call, you are getting like 3.5 to 1, and if he has the flush or straight, you are still only a 4-1 underdog. It's possible he's bluffing the scare card or has a smaller set or two pair, so that pushes it into a call for me.

Re: Do you give value to maniac min-raiser?
You have top set, if he makes this move with anything other than the straight or flush you must call. This guy is so loose aggro that folding here is a sin. I just push and expect to see all types of random [censored] from him.

[/ QUOTE ] What??? Please don't anyone listen to this. A guy with those stats is never folding an OESD. These players call with nothing but a gutshot. It always irks me when people rule out hands from a villains range because THEY wouldn't play them... as if a person with 53/52/x stats plays anything remotely like anyone on this forum. Many players at micro NL will call with an underpair to the board... a 4 outer is considered a monster. 8 outer is played like the nuts. |
