Re: nut flush vs. paired river raise
you have to call- maybe consider raising. villain check off the bb his range is everything, except- 99/TT/QQ/KK are largely out of his range (since he'd likely have raised) the rest of the boats are obviously in it (though with QT/9T the flop lead is a bit weird) but so are alot of Js, alot of Ts (the flop lead is strange with most also) and every smaller flush any of which can conceivably raise here (many of them obv ought not, and many likely don't here) point is he an have alot of big-ish hands here- most of which we beat so a call is obligatory, a read and we may have a raise.
a little tanked so it's a bit incoherent but the point is smaller flushes, and JT can take this line as easily as boats- so you need to call. |

Re: nut flush vs. paired river raise
I guess he has Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Anyway, I can't figure out why a Jx hand or a lower flush would check this turn. Since they don't have the Ace, they should know it's possible you do on the turn, so they should protect against you drawing out or charge you if you have the straight and they have the flush. I'd have enough confusion about the betting here to just flat call the river raise. His latest action makes it seem like the rivered helped, so I'd be cautious. |
