Any recommendations? Price range is $200 or below. Would prefer a 2.1 setup.

Any recommendations? Price range is $200 or below [/ QUOTE ] What kind of configuration are you looking for? In that range you're either getting a low end 5.1 setup or a not bad 2.1. I'd stay away from Bose (almost all their products are overpriced [censored]). For 2.1 I'd recommend: Klipsch Promedia 2.1 For 5.1 I'd say: Logitech z-5300 |

I've made recommendations to multiple friends, and those that went my route were the happiest.
Skip the computer speaker route entirely. Put a stereo with stereo speakers near your computer. Then buy a cabling solution to hook your computer's sound to your stereo. This is very easy to do if you get the right product. You need to pipe the music through the amp/receiver on one of the aux channels or whatever. You'll be much happier than any computer speakers could possibly do. Of course if your reason for getting computer speakers is because you travel with a laptop and want music when on the road ... well then ignore everything I said. |

I use my computer for lots of audio stuff, and I have been really really happy with the swan m200s. they are powered, very loud, and sound great. there is a review of them here . can't remember if it said in the review, but these speakers are great for music, probably not as great for games.
