I can't think of a single reason why you wouldn't just go ahead and push.

very ABC...don't play big pots in the 180 turbos unless you are willing to play them all the way

Me neither. Especially in the donkament known as the 12/180s. Fine/standard play.

So calling to induce other callers or a push is wrong because it has slightly lower expectation but much greater volatility? I thought that pushing small edges was key here...

If someone is going to shove or call a 630 bet behind at level 3 in a 12/180 turbo, they're going to call your shove, so flat calling here doesn't make much sense.

AK is not a hand to induce multiway action...just push and take the $ in the middle and hope if you get called it's by a weaker ace
