NL25 - Flop OESD IP against a solid TAG
Villain was running 8/8/~ over a very small sample. Seemed solid, had already 3-bet my button open-raises in similar circumstances so I figured he might be light plus given how deep we both are I think a pre-flop call is ok.

Re: NL25 - Flop OESD IP against a solid TAG
just call the flop. If you think its light you can float, and an ace = valuetown very often. You have just commited yourself with a hand with 7-8 outs, when you could get the same info by just calling, while villian has a RIO problem frequently.

Ok fair point but I don't see how you figure I'm committed here.

Re: NL25 - Flop OESD IP against a solid TAG
Uh...because you've now put 40% of your stack in before the turn card falls?
Personally I like it. Lot's of FE here and you'll be getting just enough pot odds to call a push. Edit: Oh, wait I didn't see the suited flop. Now I don't like it as much as a call because 2 of your outs may be dirty, and if you get called by a FD that's beating you right now you're in big trouble. |
