Low pp\'s in blinds a recipe for disaster multi-way?
Say you're in the blinds with a low pocket pair (22-55) and a TAG opens UTG and gets 2 callers, at least 1 who is a solid TAG. Is calling with your low pocket pair in the blinds that profitable? I mean a lot of times you won't be able to stack the UTG raiser if you hit your set, even if he has an overpair, since he knows sets are a big part of your range if you're showing major strength (though you can still stack him a good number of times and it still is likely profitable). But what can make this a -ev situation are the flops where you flop an underset to either the UTG raiser or the other solid TAG who smooth-called preflop (where pp's are a large part of his calling range) and get auto-stacked. So is the best move to just fold pf?
Note if the 2 callers are donks I'm calling all day long. This applies to where at least one caller is a solid TAG. |

no, you should call and stack somebody with a set. [/ QUOTE ] QFT. this is a highly +EV situation. remember that the pot on the flop will already be very large, making it easier to get the money in. |
