Default NL50: sat next to 3bet monster - fantastic or spewtastic response

I probably brought this on myself slightly, I was experimenting with a LAG style, playing 24/17 over about 300 hands instead of my usual 16/11.

No sooner had I had stacked a guy with AA then villain to my immediate left starts 3betting every time I raise button CO or HJ. I decide to call one of his raises with 66 and bet into him on a low flop, he moves in, I have to fold. So, he carries on doing this, probably 6 or 7 times in a row and I am now down like $20 to the guy. I decide to close the table and stop auto posting the blinds. Then I get this hand. Total spew or the right move?

Villain was 17/9/1.5 over about 500 hands but was clearly playing more aggressively than that at this point. He was not 3betting anyone else that I could see.

maybe you could have made it ~$20 to go and folded to a push? I know folk say that if you 4bet you should call a push, but you are both deep enough to get away.

I didn't really think 24/17 was LAG, perhaps i should adjust my auto rate rules in PT...

If he keeps three betting you I don' see how you can not reraise this hand. I would make it $17, however there would be no way in hell that I would fold this hand preflop to a villain who continually pushes me around like a red headed step child.
I don't think it's a bad play but a lot of people won't call that push unless you're beat. I'm sure you realize that now. Maybe if he's an idiot he'll call with TT JJ or worse, but doubtful. I usually try to wait til I can trap someone who keeps pushing me around before I push. Trap him next time, don't try to get into coinflips.
