Default 100NL - AKs vs 40/5 - Standard or Butchered?

Villain is 40/5 over 300 hands, pretty passive. I've been raising him constantly but have already stacked off once to him when he flopped a set vs my TPTK and got me to valuetown myself after he c/c flop and turn, then checked a benign river and I shoved.

Thoughts on all streets?

Full Tilt Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

CO: $125.50
BTN: $104.45
SB: $134.50
Hero (BB): $130.45
UTG: $32.05

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
2 folds, BTN calls $1, SB raises to $4, Hero calls $3, BTN folds

I 3-bet AK 95% of the time, but flatted here because his PF raising range is so tight and I'm probably going to fold everything that I beat and get reraised by QQ+ I think.

Flop: ($9) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $6, Hero calls $6

Anyhow, I called flop since again I think raising just gets him to fold weaker aces, and there's absolutely no way he has a four.

Turn: ($21) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $6, Hero raises to $24, SB raises to $42, Hero calls $18

Turn I raised his ridiculous 6 dollar bet for value and so I could get some money in the pot to make a larger value bet on river, when he min-reraised I just flatcalled to keep him in pot since there are so few scarecards and a 4 impossible and a FH very unlikely.

River: ($105) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $55, Hero calls $55

River is pretty bad card and I just call instead of shove since I'm only beating AJ and chopping with AK now.

Thoughts on all streets? Should I have raised the flop? If we were 100BB deep I think I would have just shoved the turn over his 3-bet.

RR PF almost always IMO, I want SB all to myself. (I know you did in this hand but we don't want BTN coming along for cheap)

Raise flop, as played shove turn.
As played, I like a flat call on river, AQ just sucked you out?

you really think his preflop raising range is that tight when its BvB?....

Just 3-bet 100%.... raise every street and get it in...

Too fancy!

Don't give a 40/5 credit. He never folds weaker aces on this flop, especially not now your AK is disguised because of pre-flop.

I think shoving turn > calling. However I am willing to hear other viewpoint.

If you think calling his miniraise on turn is best, explain so maybe I can fix a leak.

shoving turn is not good. You're completely coolered here a lot vs. this passive donk. I think the rest of the streets are fine.

Not that I'm in any way the guy to learn to fix leaks from, but I just called because I thought there were very few scarecards that could come on the river since I turned the NFD ontop of the 2 pair. I thought a 4-bet shove over him MIGHT fold out a couple worse hands and if he was going to call a 4-bet shove he'd call the river push anyhow so I wasn't losing any value overall.

I mean at that point I was basically only worried about a non-heart Q or J I figured. I don't know, I guess there are merits to just getting as much money in with the least amount of cards out also in a situation like this, I'm not sure.

I raise the flop all the time. He's not folding an ace. Also, if you wait to raise until turn your hand looks much stronger.

rasie flop is standard
but since you didnt you have to shove the turn! youre ahed of all his Ax hands (which is the majority of his range here) and free rolling any other AK. get it in asap
