So whats the deal with MySpace?? (Is my kid getting pwn\'d??)
So my stepson (17 going on 12) has this real gf (I've seen her at my house). He left his myspace link on my computer one time and she shows up as a friend. Her page is filled with pics of dudes that are not my kid, and she seems to have lots of "friends" (male and female it seems- I feel so old) who leave public messages about getting together etc. So, is this girl really his gf? Is this type of thing common?
Explain to this geezer what this all means. I know the collective wisdom of this board (such as it is) will shine through.

Im sure if theyre "going out" he has seen her page, and would be able to see all these comments as well, so it either isnt a problem to him, or he is in denial and being a wussbag chasing around this girl who is a [censored] or doesnt like him.

and she seems to have lots of "friends" [/ QUOTE ] eh, im way too old for the myspace page, but what's the problem w/ being 17 and having friends (of both sexes) on there? you dont say what the messages posted on the homepoage are among friends so if they are just the usual things you would expect, should be no biggie. unless the guys' notes are blantlantly sexual and the girl gives off that vibe on her page, i wouldnt worry about it. bwana

Alot of people add as many people as they can, they get off on having 1000 myspace friends. PM me a link and I will investigate to see whether it's a big deal or not(I won't post it if you don't want). I am a myspace expert(I'm also 17).

Why the hell are you snooping around in your sons'/stepsons' Myspace page?
And if you find out that his gf is actually cheating on him or whatever, do you really think he'll listen to you after you explain how you found out? Edited because I can't read.
