I would have folded pre regardless of min raise. check folded flop, bet turn if villian checked behind, and check called river if he called turn

A9 is a horrible hand oop playing it from the big blind cause you got in cheap from a min raise isnt profitable long term.

If you had to play it, I would recommend raising it from there

I agree with jlp. Postflop is fine, I esp. like the river.

Are you calling a river bet closer to 3/4 pot?

As the concensus seems to be a pf fold, is there any Ace that is a call? or should it be a raise or fold situation? Am I raising AJo here against an unknown? AQ for sure, right?

Personally I'd raise AQ+ there, but just call with AJ or AT. Any other call with an ace would be read dependant.

To be honest though i'm not hugely comfortable with those hands in that situation. I'm calling to make a pair on the flop and go from there. I think you make a pair often enough to justify a call there?

This is a total n00b question: Is it right you'll make at least a pair around 20% of the time with AJ/AK or any two cards really?

It's ~1/3 chance to pair either card.
