I would fold pf usually.

I'd bet more on the turn, 1/2 pot seems good.

Yeah, wasn't sure about the pf call either. You simply have no idea where you are and will be in a lot of danger should it come A or J high. You don't want to raise it up so I'd probably fold it but it would be so tmpting to call.

Turn - need to bet more really and let everyone know you're serious - only good hands need look you up.

Bad call pre. You got pretty fortunate with the jack high board and nobody tripping up.

Thanks again for the replies. Aj is a trouble hand for me as I often call with this. I really should have bet more here on the turn like you guys have mentioned. 1/2 the pot. thanks for the suggestions.

I think AJ is a simple hand to play- but you have to make the step to see it as a very mediocre hand. Your decisions get quite easy then.

1.) never play it behind a raiser unless you think his preflop raising range includes A9 or less.

2.) never play it in early position on a full table unless the table is very tight and you think you can steal the blinds.

3.) if you play it and get a caller to your raise and hit an ace - play very very careful and be willing to lay it down.

thats it
