i think hes a tricky one and instead of check/min raise u on the turn (with his set) he bet the river expecting a sure call

WTF?

We are ahead of villains range. This is a very standard +EV call. Doing anything else but calling is terrible.

There is no point in raising- I highly doubt he pays off with worse (though its not 100% certain).
