They have Tim Thomas with Steve Nash there to unleash his potential and Amare is coming back soon. Kurt Thomas has also been injured for this 9 game win streak. How good will they be?
I think they will be the best team in the league. |

Funny post.
No D = Another postseason ass kicking. Also, Tim Thomas no longer has potential. He's a known, commodity. Namely, a reasonable 8th nam. |

Funny post. No D [/ QUOTE ] The notion that Phoenix can't defend is funny, I agree. |

Can anyone explain to me how the hell is Thomas getting 14 million this season. He has never averaged more than 32 minutes over a season, never averaged more than 16 points, for a 6'10 guy never averaged 5 rebounds, or even 2 assists. This guy sucks, who gave him so much money

I think he signed his deal in Mil, but I know at one Isiah had to have his hands on such mediocrity at one point.

The Bucks gave him the contract back when they were one of the best teams in the East. They figured they had a chance at the finals and Thomas was a big part of their success. Chicago actually offered him a big contract after they lost out on McGrady, Duncan, Hill, etc. but he re-signed with Milwaukee.

It's similar to "you need pitching to win in the MLB playoffs." If you can score more points than your opponent, you win a basketball game. If you could average 2 points scored per posession, even if you played horrible defense, you would still easily win every game. Also, Tim Thomas is going to become their Robert Horry. I can't wait to dig up my saying that come playoff time. |
