Default NL100 - A8 hit trips, do I extract enough?

I just sat down, villain is on all my tables but I don't recognise him. I did a search and he's 8-tabling. Over the modest 20 hands I had on him he was playing 30/25/3.5. Input on my play is appriciated!

100bb effective
One limper, I make it 4,5 at the button with A8o, villain calls at bb and the limper also calls.

Flop: AA5 rainbow
They both check and I bet 10,5, villain calls and limper folds.

Turn: 9 making a heart fd at the board.
Villain check and I check.

River: Q non-heart
Villain check and I bet 27.

Anyone? I know that this hand isn't the subject for a nice in-depth disucssion as it's quite narrow. But I would like some opinions about it.

The line I took in the hand abowe are standard for me in similar situations, but I know a couple of people who would bet the turn 100% of the time, arguing that they miss value if they don't, and that it's for information and that they protect the hand. I, however, reckon that I maximize my expectation by checking. If I bet the turn I don't think I will get value from many worse hands than mine. And why would I want to protect it? Villain got 3 outs at most, a fd just aint in his range. I think that I'm likely to get value from worse hands if I delay the bet to the river though. And if I'm behind I will lose about as much if I bet/fold the turn as I will by check the turn and call the river. Do you people agree or disagree, and why?

I think you played it fine the check on the turn is basically a value check. If you fire turn again all low PP that called your flop bet will fold. If you check this turn and than value bet the river will gain you the most value I believe. And there is no real need for protecting since the hands we are ahead of have 2 or 3 outs.

Your line is fine. I think checking the flop back is also fine. You're definitely not missing out on value by checking the turn behind
