Default 120 buyin 622players nolimit holdem

Is this a bad move? 622 person tourn. at bicycle $120 buy-in, It's down to about 290 people. Untill now I have been playin solid tight aggressive. I have played maybe 4or5 hands. Blinds are aprox. 200/400 with ante of 25. The guy under the gun(big stack at the table)raises 3X the blinds and gets a few callers, i'm on the button and look down at KQ clubs. I haven't played a hand in aprox. 45min. I have under 3000, so I push all in. Under the gun guy thinks and calls, everyone else folds. He flips over Q 10 off suit and hits a 10. Should I have waited? Was this a bad move?
Thanks for reading.

Looks good to me -- you're short-stacked, have KQs against a big stack and there's a ton of dead money in the middle.

Well you can't just fold and wait for a good hand. You have to gamble to get back into the tourney. Even though I hate KQ in spots like this you really have no other choice but to push. However, expect a call because you really don't have any FE.

As it turned out you got it in as a huge favorite, what are you upset about?

first of all don't post results...second why are you posting this? If you won the hand would it have been here? Don't mean to sound harsh but here we go...

You played too tight early if you only played 4 or 5 hands and are down to only 3K...that being said the push is fine and you jut got unlucky...
