Default 2 bustout hands from sunday majors. standard?

Once I see the flop with my hands, I can't see no other option but to go with it. The preflop decision, however, I am not sure. I really thought about laying down TT but that was literally the 1st playable hand that I got all tournament. As for the AKs,yes it was the first level and I only had a draw but I wasn't going to fold it.(maybe it is my cash game mentality??) are these 2hands super standard? should I have made other decisions?

Hand 1 is ok, not terrible at all. Unless I'd seen this player make this small 3bet before or had some other read on him that would suggest his range here isn't very tight I would tend to play cautiously here and just call the flop, especially because it is early and it's not really worth it to go nuts here generally. Doubling up early is definitely nice, but it doesn't really mean much. However getting knocked out obviously sucks.

Hand 2 I would definitely consider 3betting pf, but calling is not bad at all (optimal vs some players). Calling the flop is better than raising, as you're letting villain play pretty good against us by folding worse and always shoving better.

yes, getting knocked out early does suck. In hand 2, if we call flop, what's the turn action? we are getting it in on a blank turn or fold to a second bullet? I definitely agree that my shove folds out worse, mostly to be called by better. I am just not sure what to do in these 20bb situations.

It's a tricky spot and is pretty read dependant. I would probably fold to a turn bet and shove if checked to (people will almost never check Qx+ on the turn to us with these stacks). A case can definitely be made against some players for just calling down.

Hand 1: Whatever, you probably have 12 outs. Get it in if you feel like gamboolin'. I would prob lead out so i could be the one doing the 3bet shoving, because maaaaaybe that gets QQ-TT to fold (but probably not).

Hand 2: I shove pf in this spot, unless the opener is a huge nit.

Sums it up pretty well... Make it a habit of yours to stop for a while before you take action. Look at the pot size and look at your opponents stacks. FE is important in many situations so learn how to size your bets in a way that gets your stack in the middle first.
