Humor, a few generations removed
Tonight's feature film is 'The Cocoanuts', a 1929 Marx brothers musical comedy. I've caught myself laughing out loud often but I'm much closer to this than the average 2+2er, me being 50.
So, am I just old or is this timelessly funny? |

Re: Humor, a few generations removed
I am 20 and I lol'ed when I saw it.
The biggest problem is that a lot of the jokes have become well-known, and I'd heard (of) a lot of them before. |

I would imagine the majority of posters have no clue what you are talking about.
They have probably heard about the Marx brothers, but have zero idea about this movie. Many probably think that Karl is one of them. |

Re: Humor, a few generations removed
For a bigger sample size, we watched Duck Soup in one my classes recently, and most seemed to like it.
edit: everyone liked Buster Keaton a lot more, though |
