Default NL $200, interesting hand vs aggressive villain

Villain is running 25/20 with an aggression factor of 5.

My cards don't really matter here...

What is villain's range? What is the minimum you are willing to get AI with? What is your assumptions about villain's play with hands that hit this flop?

If you have an 8 in your hand, how do your reads change?

My image is super LAGGY fwiw.

his range is draws AJ A8 88, after raising you are commited to call with any ace basically i think

Well, I originally said my cards didn't matter, but I did hold an 8... I agree a lot with your range but it makes it a lot harder when you hold an 8.

Not that I'm stacking off here with bottom pair but I felt this hand was very interesting.

Someones going to have to explain to me how its correct to call with "any ace" here on a really awful board for something like "any ace" and how you're "committed" with 50 in the pot and its another 140 to you....

what seriously?!?

That's almost as crazy as my HU 4betting rule... I never ever ever fold after I 4bet.

I will do this with air alot, especially when villain's range here is so jacked.

meh, unless i have seen him donkbet as a bluff before, i gotta assume that his lead means he will be 3betting the vast majority of the time. especially true of someone this aggro

fwiw, i really like the point you are making about the 8 in hero's hand skewing villains range a little less from VBs and a little more towards draws.

yeah, but some draws that would do this like J + FD are ahead of BP - but for sure villain is somewhat more likely to be semi bluffing than if you didn't have the 8
