$1/$2 with 99 and K on flop - need to be more aggressive or tighter?

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8SB, 4 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls. Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5.5BB, 3 players) SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks. River: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5.5BB, 3 players) SB checks, UTG checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero ?? </font> My play with 33 - 99 stinks. On this hand I am in late position so I would think a raise with 99 is the right play. If I can win the pot right there then good. Flop shows a K and now I don't know what to do. I bet to put off the image of a K (dumb move?) and two people call. Turn is kind of harmless but with 2 players someone could have a K. Should I have bet to semi bluff or check? River is pretty scary but nobody has shown any power on this hand. Should I play this weak or bite the bullet? Thanks [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I like betting the turn to protect my hand with the intention to check behind on the river UI (Edit: oh against the right opp, I will often bet river for value depending on the river card of course). As played i think i would fire another bet on the river but I rly would of preferred spending it on the turn.

easy turn bet/fold and against most 1/2 players check the river UI....of course push for that last bit of value on the river if you have reads
