Is railbirds spamming on FTP?

I've been in two tourneys this weekend where there were observers chatting at my table about railbirds (the website). Catch somebody's interest, explain that it's this neatocool poker community website, they have freerolls, put my code in as a reference....

Is it just me, or is the interactive version of the "go here for free monies" observer spam?

After four years of playing poker online, sucking out on someone and having them rant and whine on the rail is about the only source of pleasure I have left in this silly game... (outside of winning $$$ of course)
