Good Idea Wrong Intentions?

Thinking about joining the VFW to help the community.(i.e get into a lot of soft poker games) Thoughts?

I joined a private veterans club (i am not a veteran). Membership is $5 per year, pool is like 50 cents, beers are cheap, place is nice, and there are two tourneys a week with about 20-30 runners. Do it ldo.

Don't you have to be a war veteran or is it just the name of a group of people that get together now?

Yes you have to have served in a combat zone to get in the VFW. I am an OIF II vet so i qualify. It will be me and 50 guys 3 times my age (i am 24). but i hear the beer is cheap and that the side games are uber soft..even some 5 stud hi/lo...
