Default Need opinion on Wynn restaurants

Well, for my first time ever I'm abandoning the Mirage and trying a different hotel... the Wynn. Looking for opinions on any of their restaurants except the steakhouses. I've casually browsed the menus but I'm just seeing if anyone has first hand knowledge...

Eat EVERYWHERE at the Wynn. You can't go wrong. Only Red 8 was average, everything else made my mouth water.

I will second the buffet. They have a café too that has excellent food—the pressed Cuban sandwich is to die for.

Buffets are blah, unseasoned food cooked to an average for the average person. Yes they use better ingerdients than other buffets, but if it isn't comped, don't waste the money.

Red 8 is good for a budget minded late night heavy snack. Very asian and true to form.

Corsa Cuisine is very good - but I have only eaten there once or twice. But all of their resturants are superb and have actual chefs (as opposed to Todd English of Olives)

Anyone who pays for a buffet is out of their goddamn minds.

I find the food there in general to range from adequate to exceptional. Service also varies wildly. For being high-end, there are unacceptible (in my mind) consistency issues.

That said, the range of food quality does tend on the higher side. I like the Country Club Grill (all the way back by the golf course entrance, well past the buffet and the cafe). Corsa Cucina I am not fond of. Okada is excellent. SW is very good. The Italian restaurant in the mall by the strip is good, but way overpriced, though I sat a few tables over from ARod, so that kind of made up for it. The Buffet is outstanding, don't listen to the buffet haters. The deli, Za Za Crackers is good.

Your opinion on Red 8 and DB Bistro Clark? DB was the best meal I had in Vegas so far, Red 8 underperformed but to give it credit I haven't had great Asian meals anywhere in Vegas so far, perhaps I am looking in the wrong place.

I loved Red 8. I love Chinese food and thought the meal was awesome. The only bad thing was it took forever to get our check.
