Default AJ OOP

Villain is unknown. The flop call then turn+river bet seems like a strong line, one that beats TPGK, right? Find a fold here?

In this specific instance it's difficult to call this a strong line.

Lets say you have KK.

You raise pf. Make a c-bet on an A high flop and are called. You would check the turn right? In fact thats a pretty standard line with almost all non-Ace pair hands.

Bet the turn.

If he calls again I would think I am most likely ahead.

Deffo call river. Good Pot odds, and the only hand I think you would lose to given the available information would be AQ.

The thing that makes it hard to judge is your check on the turn. If u bet here and he raises u are most likely behind and can fold. Therefore I think u have to bet the turn.

@scallop: How about villain holding 55? With a set a lot of players in this position call the flop with the intention to raise the turn.

your flop bet is quite small. bet the turn for atleast 7$. your turn check indicates so much weakness and the villain may try to take advantage of it with a flushdraw, weaker ace, 88/99/TT etc

Betting $7 on this turn is so much better than c/c. It's normally a bet/fold, as villain will indicate his strength by raising if he needs to.

River is a re-evaluate if he calls.

Exactly.

By checking the turn we are not giving our opponent an opportunity to raise, thus signalling that we are beat.

When we check the turn, and he then bets, his range opens up massivley. When we bet and he raises, his range becoe far more narrow.
