52s 3-bet againt LAG, c-bet on the flop?
Pacific Hand History Converter Tool from Fuzzy\'s Logic vs Poker
(Format: 2+2 Forums) EP ($72.58) LP ($24.06) CO ($100.7) Button ($96.15) SB ($161.27) Hero ($100) Villain is 32/24/2.5 over 80 hands Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 folds, Button calls $1, SB raises $4, Hero raises to $13, 1 fold, SB calls $8.5, Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($27) SB checks, Hero? Preflop he was probably raising with almost any two so I tought I could take it down with a 3-bet or very often with a c-bet on the flop if he calls. But that flop probably hit his range pretty good (Ax, KdQx, KdJx..., any middle pair with a diamond). Is there any value in betting? |

pf is obv gross but whatever
apart from your gutter you have absolutely 0 showdown value so i think you have to take at least one shot |

Re: 52s 3-bet againt LAG, c-bet on the flop?
[*] He isn't raising any two from the SB (if he is somewhat decent) here so you don't have too much FE against his range.
But def. cbet this flop, you can represent an ace very legitimately. |

I'd only cbet a 522 flop;
but seriously if you're going to 3bet him light with rags you can't then not cbet in position an A high flop, take a shot at the pot if he plays back or calls then shut down. |

So you don't think a 32/24 has a very wide range here after button open limps and I have a TAG image(forgot to mention that)?

[*] Even (decent) LAGs don't play ubertrash oop when it's likely they will be called in at least one spot. So you can safely assume he has some kind of hand here.
If he isn't decent, there's no reason to get involved with trash yourself. |

Re: 52s 3-bet againt LAG, c-bet on the flop?
i like the preflop. especially if your image is right. However given that we do have no showdown value i can see a bet here being fine.
BUT he is a lag, and his stats do look pretty good, maybe a bit higher PF raise % to be real good but given this board.. vs someone like him.. your going to get raised out of your seat. raising here folds everything but AQ AK with a diamond, iam CR'ing you here 95% of the time for complete value with any 2. so.. even though no showdown value, i think vs a competent lag.. betting here is really bad. just shutdown. also it will lead him to not respect your 3 bets. Could also lead him to think your not very good to set mine against because you dont build big enough pots. *Shrug* |
