Default Working in a job you hate? Does it effect your poker play

Hey guys

I have worked in my current job 3 years and about the last 1 year i have started hating my job more and more to the point that it has effected me physcially but also mentally.

My game was ok but over the last year it has gone down hill and is continue going down hill and i think the only thing i can relate it to is hating my job which is causing me to play bad considering im obvisouly not in the right frame of mind and shouldnt even be playing which i wont be for a little while.

Im leaving my job in early jan and will be having a month or so off before looking for another job this time working for the enjoyment of a job instead of the money. I have some little money put aside to play poker once i have finished work which will be interesting to see how my frame of mind is and see how my poker play changes.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation as mine and how was the outcome ?

thanks for reading
Aussie

I have no intentions of making a living play poker, I just enjoyed playing hope to make a little extra on the side.

Over time i have played way over my limits which in a sense i think was due to hoping to hit it big so i win enough money to leave my job sooner but unfortunatley that was not the case.

This time i have 2k set aside to play NL50 hopefully build that up slowly as i will not need to win big $$$ because i have already escaped what i felt was like being in jail.

It's interesting that you would say this, (i also have a 9-5 that is a drag), but I look forward to when I can rush home and start playing poker.

To me, it's very refreshing and relaxing and challenging in a way that my job would never be, and because of all of this my time playing poker is completely separate from anything going on in other aspects of my life, and vice versa.
