Default $5000 on Poker Stars

I deposited $5000 on Pokerstars in early August. I now have $1500 left.

I started out playing $200NLHE and then drop to $100NLHE and then $50NLHE. I have mainly been adhering to the 20 times the max buyin rule. I tend to play as many as 9 tables as I find that this way I only play quality starting hands and position.

I use Poker Tracker and here are some stats.

VPP% 15

First action on flop
Raise 3%, Bet 60%

agression factor is 1.5

Position

Button = 20%
1 = 18.8
2 = 16.91
3 = 13.48
4 = 12.06
5 = 10.62
6 = 10.11
BB = 11.38
SB = 20.92

When I first started I was playing to many hands and overplaying middle pairs. I have since changed where I only play quality hands in position which I think the PT stats show and I try to keep pots smaller when playing middle pairs.

I am a first time poster and really looking for some constructive critism. I can post more info if needed.

A couple of things.

1. It looks like you play full ring. So you might want to post this in the full ring section.
2. 9 tables is a bad idea. Play 1-2 and make sure that you are playing them well.
3. You didn't give us PFR but it better be >8% or so.
4. Post hands that you have questions about (again in the full ring forum).
5. Read others posts.

Good Luck.

Hi
is this your first deposit ever?
If you just started playing online I'd advise you to start with NL25 or NL10.
Using the 20times BI structure strictly is very good though.
How many hands did you play on each level?

Do you play full ring or 6max?
Fullring is better for beginners because you can sit and wait for quality hands.

Please post your agression factor for:
Preflop, Flop, Turn, River, Total (including PF)
coldcall % total
attempt to steal blinds %

Above posters give good advice. I just wanted to say you should add all the stats they ask for, and then definitely post all of that information in the full-ring forum.

damn, I would be hating life in your shoes. But it looks like you're giving it a lot of effort. You'll be killing 1/2NL in no time.

I would recommend you to start playing in lower levels, and move up, when you know for sure that you can beat current level. Right now it seems that you are going in wrong direction. And remember that poker isnt easy, you will have to work hard if you want to be winning player.

I have mainly played on-line tournies and done fairly well at it. Also I have crushed our local 1/2 games over the past 3 years for 35k. Hence I decided to deposit 5k on Poker stars. It's not going as well.

Here is some of the additional data requested.

All Full Ring games
$200 11,000 hands
$100 38,000 hands
$50 4000 hands

Aggression factor
PF 1.14
Flop 2.61
Turn 2.19
River 1.75
Total 1.51

Cold Call % total 1.19
Attempt to steal blind 24%

Great advice above guys, I am reviewing the full ring forum as we speak.
