Villain's flop bet is probably a basic c-bet HU, maybe TT+, AQ+. Raise. If called, bet-fold turn UI if checked to, fold to donk, don't fire third barrel on river UI but bet if you catch. If you get 3-bet, peel the flop and fold turn UI, call-down if you catch TPTK.

I'd probably cap preflop for increased folding equity.

Mitke,

Why do you want to raise the flop? If we are ahead why would you ever want him to fold or stop betting? If behind why would we want to put multiple bets in on the flop? Also why do we want to bloat the pot on the flop and then fold on the turn? As played raising the flop is bad.

sean c: Good questions and I don't know if my answers are as good...

Why do you want to raise the flop? If behind why would we want to put multiple bets in on the flop?
- I'd very much like to see a fold from AK, TT-JJ. Against a TAG, that's within the realm of possibility IMO (BUT admittedly as the Hero did not cap preflop it is not as likely). QQ folding would probably be wishing too much. If the villain 3-bets we can give up on the pot on the flop or turn without too much fear of folding the best hand or one with 6 outs.

If we are ahead why would you ever want him to fold or stop betting?
- You're right, for no reason. In this spot we are probably only ahead of AQ and split with AK. (This is a question I've been asked a few times after I began to post here.. a possible leak in my game -thanks for pointing it out to me once more.)

Also why do we want to bloat the pot on the flop and then fold on the turn?
- I guess my reasoning for this was that a TAG villain would not c/r the turn or 3bet flop + lead turn without AA/KK after our flop raise often enough for calling to be profitable.

---

I guess that without the preflop cap the flop raise is not believable enough to get the AK, TT-JJ hands to fold very often .

AQ is 12 combos - way ahead
AK is 9 - split + some folding equity
TT, JJ, QQ is 18 combos, behind with 6 outs + little FE
KK is 3 combos, behind with 3 outs
AA is 3 combos, practically drawing dead

Behind 24, split 9, ahead 12. I guess we are not getting better or equal hands to fold often enough and lose also when worse hands fold for playing this aggressive on the flop to be profitable.

---
So call the flop with pot giving 9:1 and fold turn UI getting 6:1? Or call turn also (hoping the villain doesn't 3-barrel the river with AQ/AK too often) and fold UI on river for 8:1?
