Few marginal mistakes = big one? AK 25nl
Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players

On the turn its a bit marginal. I don't have many outs (I'm counting 10, 2's, K's, A's as I think I'm up against a hand like QJ, JT. TPW/GK. I need about 27% equity to make this call and I'm being layed 22%. I think implied odds can satisfy this. On the river again, seems like weak pot odds still make it perhaps right to call. I have to be right about 1/4 times, perhaps a fold there. Opinions? |

I'd bet more on the flop, but 1.50 is ok I guess.

What calls 1.5 but folds 2?

Re: Few marginal mistakes = big one? AK 25nl
Not much, but do you only bet 1.50 in this spot when you have AJ here, you give him too good odds to make the spade flush

Re: Few marginal mistakes = big one? AK 25nl
1/2.6 Isn't good odds for calling for a flush.
Sorry not trying to come across as argumentative, just want to discuss what you're saying. I don't really want him to fold a flush draw, just call down with incorrect odds. |

I'm going to come across as really arrogant here, and its not meant to, I know I'm the one asking for opinions here.
But betting $2 instead changes the implied odds how if thats what its relying on to make the call? |

Re: Few marginal mistakes = big one? AK 25nl
I'm off the hand on the turn. A's / K's on river aren't necessarily clean outs w AJ/KJs being strong possibilities here.
No reads = fold for me AJ looks quite likely here actually. Be wary of counting outs as 'outs to the nuts'. Why do you put him on KJ/QJ as opposed to AJ? |

Re: Few marginal mistakes = big one? AK 25nl
if the turn blanks you can put in a pot sized bet again and now his odds SUCKS, just because you were smart enough to bet more on the flop.

Re: Few marginal mistakes = big one? AK 25nl
btw, just a pleb here, but I'm much more likely to call $1.5 flop bet than $2 flop bet w 67s.
Am I right to say you're folding to a spade on the turn here? |
