Default QQ IP 200NL

Villain is 19/17/4 or so. Some 3bets. Not too out of line or anything like that.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $208.45
UTG+1: $136.90
Hero: $259.90
Button: $156.80
SB: $349
BB: $293.75

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $7</font>, Button folds, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $24</font>, BB folds, Hero calls.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($50, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $33</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($116, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($116, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $77</font>.

Do we call this river? What range is the villain on? How was the rest of this hand played?

The rest of the hand is standard and I'm folding to his river VB.

i call this.. surely any K would be betting the turn to protect against a flush draw ? im putting villain on 99-JJ. would be good to know his cbet %

maybe this is a leak in my game. could you pro's give comment.

In a 3bet pot protecting against a flush draw is pointless. Most of these spots are WA/WB and if he's got at least a K he's looking to get it in any way he can, regardless of whether another spade falls.

You think he's vb'ing 99-QQ on the river? What is he expecting to get called with? Or do you think he's bluffing, in which case what hand is he folding out? If he wants to bluff out JJ or QQ then betting the turn is the way to go, not the river. Plus he may get hero to bluff at it if he checks the river.

Against most 19/17 nits I'm folding this. Against anyone looser or whom I have history with, I'm calling and making a note.

I think about the only thing you're beating here is something like TT. He might have a set, but it sounds like a weak-ish K to me. I'd fold.

i think a weak king check/calls this river because he really isn't getting value out of much. this looks SOOO much like a set to me, his flop lead after a reraised hand preflop. he is putting you on a hand that can't fold on that board, i don't think hes trying to make you fold your TT-QQ. a set leads here a LOT and then checks the turn

This is an easy fold on the river. Don't over think it. QQ is garbage on this board given the action.
