a sooo common spot rethought
this is a spot you encounter so many times during a session and dont really think about it, so lets do it. please note stacksizes. please give your whole reasoning WHY you check or bet (and how much). pf for sure is debatable, but this is about postflop.
Not too much of a read on villain here. he's like 30/10 and folds around half the cbets he faces (this is what your pa tells you). He got like 28wsd, so hes a bit lose passive, but not out of line. Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) SB ($197.60) BB ($77.60) Hero ($198) MP ($198) CO ($266.30) Button ($139.20) Preflop: Hero is UTG with 3, 4. Hero raises to $7, 1 fold, CO calls $7, 2 folds, BB calls $5. Flop: ($22) Q, 7, 7 BB checks, Hero bets $15, CO folds, BB calls $15. Contibet with a flushdraw. Turn:($52) 3 BB checks, Hero (Villain got 56$ behind here) Given his flopcall i think his range is any Q (aq, kq, qj, qt), any 7, higher flushdraws, PPs and all sort of trash he might float with oop to see if i fire again. we might be drawing dead, but quads, a fh or a higher fd arent very likely. I know this depends a lot on his tendencies to bet on the river if we check behind, but I dont have any read on this, so assume average 30/10 players tendencies. Please remember the WHY. |

Re: a sooo common spot rethought
I check behind
Your not going to get him to fold any Queen or 7. Your hand has some showdown value albeit very little and it's not a great card to be double barreling especially against a loose passsive villain |

Re: a sooo common spot rethought
He's reverse floating you and then checking the turn. He either has a flush draw or a pair better than yours or trips. If you shove he'll fold some pairs lower than the Q, and also perhaps the flush draws, but you want him to call with the flush draws anyway. So I get all in. If he calls you'll usually have okay equity, but you'll fold out some hands that beat you, as well as hands that are behind can outdraw you easily.
