Ok, so I have this friend (friend A), who happens to be a girl. I have no intention of SIIHP; as lame as it sounds, I really value our friendship.

Anyway, I hooked up w/one of her friends once (an acquantance to me) and she got really pissed about it. She says that she didn't want the other friend getting all clingy to me and that it will end up being a pain in her ass etc. That ended up not happending. Anyway, whatever she got over it.

So, recently, it has come to my attention that another one of her friends that I would like to SIIHP likely wants to do so. However friend A has made it quite clear that if I do so she will be quite pissed again. This seems unfair to me. Yes, she is her friend, but what does that matter?

So OOT, am I being a bastard? Or is she just being an irrational girl?

The friend wants you. She may not have wanted you, but now that you are doing her friends, she wants you. Once you stop doing her friends, she won't want you any more. You might as well just have sex with her friend, and then her. If she's this irrational, i doubt havign sex with her will be anymore harmful to the friendship than not having sex with her. Atleast by doing both, you will have the upperhand in the friendship.

It sounds like you are real close with this friend A. Some would say that you should respect her wishes.

I would say the opposite.

Bang her other friend. Then deal with the aftermath with friend A. The friendship with A will recover and you'll get laid.
