Default LC: Ethical question

Ok. so how bad is it to occasionally stall in an SNG in the hopes that the blinds will go up during the stall for the next hand which you are to be the button or sb? This mainly comes up for me when im very shortstacked and someone else is and we're both trying to survive the bubble.

just curious what the consensus is...

I try to do it when the blinds are really low like 100/200 and there are like 3 players left. I hate playing post flop. I feel like it's kind of evil doing it though and I'm kind of scared to do it because I feel like someone is going to complain to full tilt about it.

There is nothing ethically wrong with it. It is just stupid.

Why is it stupid? I realize its a tiny advantage at best.

There was a thread about this a while back. People said that you should have an edge playing lower blinds/playing flops. Also, stalling decreases your hourly. I never do it, but it's probably due to me fearing timing out and missing the action on the table or something (while 12 tabling).

that was a thread about when the blinds were very low

my example is more like you have 3-4bbs so the blinds are already eating you and your fellow shortstack badly... therefore theres no postflop play to be discussed or thought baout

ah true. Yeah if you can stall and have the shorty in the BB for a larger % of his chips I see no ethical problem with that. If anyone says something, just say, I'm playing 12 tables, w00tever.

Also a trick I picked up that isn't really relevant to this thread, but to multitabling a lot is when you make a loose shove and get called, typed "misclick."

Another good one is when you re-raise someone and they ask "will you show me if I muck?" Say yes and don't show.

I don't think there's any ethical problems associated with any of these. If a player disconnects, you still steal his blinds, right?
