Default Going too far with blind steal

FTP .25/.50 Limit 9 max, pretty tight table with 3 players postflop most often.

BB is 56.7/3.3/1.0/90 hands
Hero in CO with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Folded to Hero who raises, BB calls

Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB bets, Hero ????

I just wanted to check if this is a leak. Low AF postflop and he signals he has an A. Of course Ax is what many players play so this maybe a routine fold with a small pot. How about if all cards were a couple of demoninations lower. Still a fold?

Call down and make a note.

This could also be something like QJ that picked up a gut or a picked up fd. Even T5 is in his range not to mention stupid bluffs.

But its certainly not a great spot for you and I doubt folding is a big mistake. However in a tight game with this loose guy in the BB when you are OTB you really want a read on what he plays in which way.

I'm probably an idiot but I would just call down. I'm interested to see what the rest of you have to say.

Is it raised often preflop? Are flops getting checked around often?

So this guy is responsible for 1/3 of the players in the pot most of the time? What has he done postflop?

Folding is okay if all you have are these stats to go on. Have you ever seen him donk a turn?

I really think I don't like that idea.

What hands will villain fold to a raise that beats us? If we are ahead how often will villain call the raise if he is bluffing this A? How often will villain trey if he is beating us?

I don't think calling or folding either one is a big mistake but I think raise/fold might be considering we can see showdown for the same price.

Um, why?

I just fold, but calling's not that bad.

why? ... calling down puts in the same amount of bets ... the question becomes, IMO, if he checks the turn (do we want to insure 2bigbets go in)

i tend not to get too aggro or fancy against someone with those stats

OP note:
this guy is not likely playing the 'blind steal game' ... he's just an idiot
make sure that you are not raising too light in this spot
and also
find a new table - you are not in a good position ... on a
'tight' table you never want the loose guy on your left (make sure it's a weak tight ... so you can pretty much 'steal' with any hand)
