Default Semi-bluff vs. Very Aggressive Villian

Villian is an extremely aggressive TAG who has a very high steal attempt percentage. He is also the type of TAG who would raise an ace high flop to fold you out of your lesser pair. When villian calls the turn raise, should I bet the river, or just check it down (give up)?

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Definately check river (villian is never folding a hand that beats you and rarely calling with a hand you beat) and I think you played this hand very well.

Call preflop and let him barrel off postflop.

Dont raise the turn. I know I am a jerk but dude thats just retarded. Call down if you think he has something like KQ or QJ or call down non 9, 8 and 7 cards if you dont.

Dont FSD raise an aggro TAG in a BvB. Sorry, but thats just dumb.

I would fold on the turn. You have only 2 outs and I am not sure your 3rd pair is good enough in this situation. I think your 2 outs on the turn is not enough to raise that villain!

it certainly isn't always dumb. every line has applications in HU battles. generalizing is always dumb

but in this particular hand i agree that you should just call down. given the board and the action he's less likely to be on a draw than it would be necessary for a fsd raise imo.

If this is your read, then I don't mind the turn if you thin he will fold out a smaller pair. I'm not sure if that's going to happen in a blind defense though. I could also see just calling the turn to make him fire again on the river. Don't bet the river as played though. You're not going to fold anything.

In this exact situation raising turn is dumb 100 out of 100 times IMO.
