Default Flop top two, turn comes flush he fires turn and river

villian is playing 23/10 i have an aggresive image, but have not shown down a bluff or shouldnt be seen as bluffy. What do you think here, what is your line, and suggestions all around would be superdidodoper

BB: $110.40
UTG: $124.10
MP: $100.00
CO: $25.10
BTN: $181.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
4 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, BB calls $3.00

Flop: ($8) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $6.00, BB calls $6.00

Turn: ($20) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks (???), BB bets $17.00, Hero calls $17.00 (????)

River: ($54) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)

I would b/f the turn. If he calls again you can probably lead the river bvb.

well it certainly looks like given the action and bet sizing, you are toast, but since you took this line, i think you might have to call the river, but its close, flip a coin. AF stats and floating tendencies are important reads here.

i would def, bet/fold the turn for value and then bet/fold the river as an alternative to the line you took.

this is a dumb question, but whats the underlying theory on betting the turn as opposed to my weak check calling the turn. Not that either are a theory, but in priniple how is one better than the other (i just am asking for the sake of seeing anothers thoughts)

when you bet/fold the turn you think villain will never raise with a worse hand, so you can safely fold. i think your line is fine and you should certainly call the cheapish river bet. betting turn is fine too.

my thoughts are that a 23/10 is definitely capable of calling with worse enough here so we are value betting especially in a blind battle.

The only real advantage to check calling down is for the times villain has complete air. More often than not any other hand villain value bets on the turn/river he also would have called with on the turn or river. Bet folding is then superior imo since you can save yourself money some percentage of the time he has a flush and raises the turn and win more for the times that he would check behind either the turn or river with an inferior made hand. Unless his bluffing frequency can make up for that then b/f is probably better than c/c.
