I'd take the free card for sure. You don't want to be playing a big pot with this hand and getting c/raised here would suck. Theres really no value in betting because most likely he doesn't have a flush draw - most of the flush draw hands he would 3bet would have flopped monster draws (fdraw + gutter + overcard) and probably wouldn't check the turn. If he's pot controlling AA/KK a free card is great for you. If he's giving up with JJ then checking could get you value on the river if he checks to you again. And if he's slowplaying a monster you certainly don't want to bet.
