I think when you bet the flop here it's usually because you want to play it exactly like klay played it. I think it's fine vs bad players and tagfish.

imo betting flop is better than check/calling barring a good read on your opponent

Because if you check flop, you have to call turn and river, since you might have induced a bluff.
If you get called on the flop by a straightforward player you can be done with a hand.

I wouldn't bet the flop against LAGs and aggros in general, cause this would be an ideal board for a float.

betting the flop is *better* against solid regs IMO. unless by solid you mean "very predictable" in which case turning your hand into a bluff catcher is fine.

betting the flop freezes you if he calls. there are no real draws. if he has A before the flop he caught up and if he has pocket pair he folds to a bet, out flopped you or has two outs. check flop
