Default 25NL - Flopped set...missed value?

I have a set on the flop. But the original raiser check raises me on the river. Easy shove or flat call afraid of higher set. Basically, do I go to the felt with set under set or am I right to protect my remaining monies.

I had a feeling I should have pushed as soon as I flat called, regardless of his holdings.

First off you need to read the rules thread that's stickied at the top of the forums.

-Convert the hand before posting
-Don't show results

Now, onto the actual hand. As a rule of thumb you should rarely, RARELY think about losing to a higher set when you have a set. As played you really need to bet the turn as well. When he raises river I think you should push. You'll get called by weaker hands.

Flop = Bet pot

Turn = Bet bet bet bet bet

River= Just shove it.

Please chase the idea of protecting money when you have a set.
