Facing a turn raise - fold or call down
I think one of the hardest thing when playing limit poker is dealing with turn raises. Here is two hands that I played to day - one of them I callede down whereas the other I folded. It would be nice hear your thoughts on the play of the hands and if any of you have some general advise relating dealing with turn raises.

Absent of specific reads.
First link, I call down. Second link, I mix between calling down and 3 bet. |

Re: Facing a turn raise - fold or call down
I'm more inclined into calling the first hand than the second one.
Anyways I call both with no reads. But if there is a hand I want to fold is the second one. The raiser raised preflop called your raise on the flop and raised the turn that's a very strong move. |

Re: Facing a turn raise - fold or call down
I probably call down both but I like it more in hand 1. In hand 2 I think a 3bet is awful.

Top pair, HU, no reads = call down (pretty much, anyway)

Re: Facing a turn raise - fold or call down
First hand is an easy fold for me. i found out that without read, TPTK is almost never good, (not good often enough to call two more bet and be EV+) when i raised preflop and got check-raise on the turn (they always have the good at 2-4$)
The second one is more tricky, i call down and take notes but not good often here IMO, 3bet is a big spew |
