Default Interesting hand from 1/2$ live session

I am posting this hand because I find it entertaining.
1/2$ NL game at one of Vegas casinos. My stack is about 420$, villain covers.

Villain is one of those crazy Armenian gamblers which could be found in Commerce casino in LA.

Villain is in a BB and when the cards are dealt to him, they are turned over. The exposed cards are Qd 9h. The dealer tells the villain that according to the rules, he has to play the cards face up. Somebody limps in from late position, I look at my cards on the button and find two aces.

Looking for action, I put up a small raise of 12$ (typical raise in that game was 15-20$). Both players call. Flop comes Q72 rainbow and villain, who is playing his cards face up(!) bets out 20$, limper folds and I raise to 65$. He calls!

Turn is 3o he checks and I bet 75$. He check raises me to 150$ (!!!), I put him all in. Now, I imagine that the next thing I've done won't find many supporters here, but before he made his decision I showed his aces face up. (Showing cards is allowed in that casino when action is heads up)

I guess I felt awkward about the situation, honestly, I am not even sure why I've done that. Now, the sickest thing is, after he saw my aces, he calls! River comes a Q and he rakes 840$ pot!

Wtf are you doing showing aces?

If your scared to get sucked out on when your an 88% fav then you should play in a lower stakes game where your comfortable with the money at stake.

Funny that he called and owned you though.

By showing him the aces you let him know his Qs and 9s were outs and he had to know you were beating his hand.
