The thing is that I'm probably one of the nicest guys you will meet in real life. And over the past couple of months I've had a nice repore with a lot of posters on this site who I have come to respect and enjoy exchange strategy posts with. HAVING SAID THAT, my online table poker etiquette is a total mess at times. I said something terrible tonight (and apologized for it afterwards, profusely). Does anyone have anything they can add to check my obviously inappropriate demeanor at the tables?

Unplug your keyboard and move it somewhere that would make it a total pain to retrieve.

I think the reason why a lot more bad things are said online is that words are the only way to express your feelings. For example, when playing live if some idiotic call beats you with a ridiculous suckout then a smirk or shake of the head lets the opponent know how you feel - online you have to type.
It can get extreme online, I admit. Just keep trying to control it. |
