I don't mind the first check, the second bet is a little weak in my opinion. When are you going to get paid off? and of course you have to call it, i personally wouldn't even be worried about a 7, thats not going to happen a lot. Take a note of his slow play on flop and call pre flop. move on from the hand, that just sucks.

And then take another note of his calling 4h7h pf. :P You have to call, just realize if a 3rd 7 did or didnt come you were getting it all in so no matter how "bad" you played it in this situation without a quad card or just because he wont typically have a 7 here... you get paid..
