Default UB players please read (X-post in ssnl)

Mods, I put this in this forum because I think the players that should see this are here. I'd appreciate it if you left it here - likely will die away in a few days at most.

UB has a new jackpot system (probably similar to party's a year ago or so). The info is here. Basically they take out 50c out of every single raked pot on top of the rake they take. If you lose with a hand bigger than quad 8's (like wtf?), then money is dispersed around the table, and of course UB takes 10% of the jackpot before it is dispersed. Forced lottery - thanks UB.

You can choose to not use the 'jackpot' tables, but then your table selection is totally screwed cuz more than half the tables are jackpot tables.

I just sent this:

Please pass this onto someone appropriate just so my opinion is heard, because most players just assume (probably correctly) that UB doesn't give a [censored] and so you don't get much feedback.

Basically now we are forced to give money to a lottery

While we have the choice to not use the jackpot tables, if we take that choice then our choice of tables and players is limited significantly to below half the available tables. This whole idea is just another way for UB to screw players over. Well done.

I'm just posting this because it would be great if players would just drop them an email so they know how players feel. Doesn't need to be long (or as in-your-face as mine). Just something.

Cheers for reading.

Sorry to dump on your party but there is no way they are getting rid of the tables now. Worked for Party and Absolute. It's free money for them and they attract more casual players.

OK, so I realize that. So ultimately (no pun intended), is it worth playing at UB under the BBJ tables or would it be better to switch sites?

BBJ hardly attracts midstakes players. So this is a bad new. Yesterday there was less tables open as usually at 400NL.
